Alfalah Brain Gym, Where Geniuses Rise!
Alfalah Brain Gym is an innovative educational organization in Afghanistan established with the goal of strengthening students’ cognitive abilities, nurturing creativity, and modernizing learning methods. Guided by the belief that the future of education is shaped in today\’s classrooms, the organization strives to move learning beyond memorization toward practical, thoughtful, and skill-based education. The activities of Alfalah Brain Gym began in 2019 (1399 AH Solar) with the introduction of a mental math program and the Abacus book. The program was widely welcomed by private schools and students, and thousands of educational packages were adopted during its early years. Following this success, Alfalah expanded its modern educational curricula and developed a range of programs including Rubik’s Cube training, coding with Scratch and Scratch Junior, origami, and mental mathematics for university entrance exam preparation, adapting these programs to meet the needs of Afghan students.
Today, Alfalah Brain Gym actively collaborates with more than 20 schools and educational centers. In addition to educational books, it provides structured curricula, teacher training, academic competitions, and digital learning services. Alfalah Brain Gym is the first organization in Afghanistan to design and implement structured educational programs focused on mental development and cognitive skills that can be systematically applied in schools. The ultimate mission of Alfalah is to nurture a generation of creative, thoughtful, and capable students who can build the future of Afghanistan through knowledge, innovation, and confidence.
Eng. Ahmad Nadim Yosufi, CEO of Alfalah Brain Gym and the founder of mental mathematics education in Afghanistan, graduated from Ariana Afghan-Turk High School and later studied Civil Engineering at Kabul University. Alongside his professional activities in the field of engineering, due to his deep interest in mathematics and the development of students’ mental abilities, he also began his educational activities and at the same time laid the foundation for a new path in modern education. He took the first step on this path by designing and authoring an abacus book and building its wooden model; an innovative initiative that was quickly welcomed by students and private schools and introduced mental mathematics for the first time as an organized and applicable program in Afghanistan.
Believing that education should go beyond memorization, Eng. Yosufi launched specialized programs and seminars on memory enhancement and mental calculation for students, especially Kankor candidates. These were held at major educational centers in Kabul such as Kaj, Kosar Danesh, Farhangsaray Kankor, Omid Afghan-Turk, and Sediqi, and achieved remarkable results. These activities laid the groundwork for the emergence of a new approach to teaching mental skills in the country. His educational vision is based on nurturing thinking, self-confidence, and problem-solving ability—an approach that is now implemented in schools and educational centers through the programs and products of Alfalah Brain Gym. His goal is to create a fundamental transformation in Afghanistan’s educational curriculum and move toward a modern, skill-based, and inspiring education for the next generation.
